Begin to Build Your Winter Wardrobe

Instead of mourning the end of summer and fearing the impending winter, think about the first snowfall of the year. I’ve always felt that the first snow is always the most magical of the year- even better than it snowing during the winter holidays. Each flake is light and moves with the wind; bouncings and gliding along until the entire landscape are covered in the soft powdery stuff. Everything becomes crisp, and bright, and beautiful.

If you aren’t as optimistic about the cold as I am ( and even if you are ) embrace the coming winter by prepping your winter wardrobe. Since half the battle is staying warm, focus your energy on finding pieces that will work hard and look great. I know some of you might be too busy to go hunting for those items, so I did it for you. Check out this list and stock up on your winter wardrobe before those first snowflakes begin to fall.

A Statement Jacket

This may seem a little obvious, but a great winter coat is essential for your wardrobe. You could forget style and focus on warmth, but why do that when you could have both?!

The Right Pair of Pants

Dresses, skirts, and shorts are great in the summer, but not as great as the snow comes around. That’s why you need to look for the right pair of pants to get you through the cold times. Or the right pair of leggings so you can keep out your summer clothes a little bit longer.

Winter Dresses

It may be time to put away your summer dresses, but don’t despair! That just means it’s time to break out ( or buy ) winter dresses. Check out these warm looks that look great with leggings and boots.

Accessories

Sometimes all you need is the right set of accessories to keep you going during the cold months. They’ll keep you warm and tie together your whole look together!
